Turning curly hair into wavy?

i have like shirley temple curly hair, only wilder. i want it to look more wavy and beach blown. i have had to straighten it for the past like 2 years and its taking me an hour every morning to do my hair if there is something i can do that will take 30-45 min that would be amazing! thnxx!

Actually I have this issue as well. I've found there are a number of "straightening" solutions in the ethnic hair supply aisle or stores that while they don't straighten at least work it out to a decent wave. They range from leave-in-conditioners to finishing creams that aren't harmful to hair.

I also have super curly hair also %26amp; I find letting it air dry makes it even curlier so I wouldn't suggest that. Maybe you could find some type of attachment for your hair dryer that would speed things up without making your hair super curly. What about if you wash it the night before %26amp; tie it back into a loose ponytail while it's still wet %26amp; then sleep on it. Or you could ask your hair dresser about what chemical options are available that wouldn't completely straighten your hair. Good luck!

What you can do is right when you get out of the shower (at night), blow dry your hair, straighten it but don't concentrate on getting it totally straight.. If you're used to spending an hour, spend a half hour doing so.. Then, have someone help you put it in braids, do like 6 of them, keep them thick.. then blow dry your hair all around to dry your hair...

In the morning when you wake up, undo the braids and your hair will be wavy instead of curly.. Here's a website that will help you do it your own if no one can help you
