Jews with curly hair?

How come I saw a Jew with curly hair. I thought the white ones all had straight hair.

Jews with curly hair?

They come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.

Jews with curly hair?

is this supposed to be a joke?

Jews with curly hair?

Oh, you'd be surprised, we come in all shapes and sizes...

Curly hair. Straight hair. Blonde hair. Red hair. Raven black hair. White skin. Black skin. Blue eyes. Green eyes. Black eyes. We are Japanese. Chinese. Yemenite. Swedish. Iraqi. Moroccan. British. Australian. Ethiopian. American. Canadian.

Yep. That's us. Masters and Mistresses of disguise.

Why, there could be one of us nearer to you than you think....

Jews with curly hair?

um . . what a weird question!!!

Jews with curly hair?

you thought wrong.

Jews with curly hair?

I don't know if you are serious, but it's actually quite common for Jews to have curly hair.

Jews with curly hair?

say what???????????????????????????????????

Jews with curly hair?

Obviously you have never been to Israel. The real mccoys have naturally, black curly hair. European Jews converted or intermarried with the other races because there is no such thing as a blonde-haired blue-eyed Jew unless of inter-racial marriage. It's just that simple. The real true Jews are Hebrews from the Mid-East.

Jews with curly hair?

Whhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaatttttttttttt???????...

Jews with curly hair?

PB nice!~! "near you",.... hehehe

Jews with curly hair?

So what you're saying is we're not white? ok.

Jews with curly hair?

I actually answered a question similar to this today, where someone asked about people who "look Jewish". You know, it's funny, I'm pretty sure there are folks out there who are convinced that Jews have curly hair rather than straight hair (never met a guy with a Jewfro?) Aaanyhoo, here's what I told the other guy; I think most of it applies here as well:

The "Jewish look" is a myth. In America, a lot of people go their whole lives only meeting Ashkenazi Jews of Eastern European descent (or at least, only realizing that these ones are Jewish, and it never occurs to them that some of the non-caucasians they meet might be Jewish as well). So when you say to a Jew: "Funny, you don't look Jewish." What you really mean, whether you realize it or not, is probably "funny, you don't look Polish".

We Jews are a mishmash of ethnicities at this point. Part of it is the fact that we've been scattered over the better part of the globe for the last two thousand years. And part of it is the introduction of Jews-by-choice (i.e. converts) into our people going all the way back to Abraham, who you could say was the first Jew and therefore the first convert.

So yeah, "looking Jewish" is really a common misconception. I've known Hispanic Jews, Middle Eastern Jews, Black Jews (and we're talking both Jews-by-choice and Jews-by-birth), all of them 100% Jewish, but if you looked at them, you'd probably think "you don't look Jewish," probably because a Black guy doesn't have an appearance you'd think of as "typical Jewish" (read: typically Polish/Slavic/Russian Ashkenazic). In fact, there are some 150,000 Ethiopian Jews - it's just that most of them are in Israel. Is my face more Jewish then theirs just because my Mom's family came from places like Russia and the Ukraine?

Jews with curly hair?

... and again you have smoked too much.

Where did you get this information? Did you read a book about the theory of races written by a so-called expert from the 3. Reich???

Stop smoking, dude, and stop smoking!!!

Jews with curly hair?

I have frizzy curly hair every time i straighten it comes frizy, can any one tell me wat is needed?

to make my hair dead straight ,when it is straightened no curly tips or frizz, could u please tell me wat is needed from shampoo, conditoiner, leave in conditions hair sprays or wax , serrums and heat protection spray or watever is needed thank your heaps

I have frizzy curly hair every time i straighten it comes frizy, can any one tell me wat is needed?

I have exactly the same problem, so I went to a salon and had it straightened (tempararily) with ceramic straightening iron.....the results were very good, so I asked the stylist what products had worked, and I brought those exact products as they had successfully kept my hair straight for 4 days without a touch up at home.

Your best course of action may be this as you wont waste money buying numerous products that may or may not work....you will have products that you know will work, it may just mean that you will have to ask the stylist for some tips on how to correctly use the iron for your hair.

Good luck.

p.s.....when it is straightened, I then use a anti static product at the end which I think is the main secret to keeping it straight for days.....no frizz and no fly aways.

I have frizzy curly hair every time i straighten it comes frizy, can any one tell me wat is needed?

if it's really curly you may not get it dead straight, but John Frieda Frizz-Ease is a wonder product for combating frizz.

EDIT

here's a link to it http://www.johnfrieda.com/products/produ...

This straightener will do that with out all the product.

It is the most amazing hair straightener I have ever tried.

I have frizzy curly hair every time i straighten it comes frizy, can any one tell me wat is needed?

Have you tried a salon quality straightening iron? I have one from a beauty supply shop. It's not a CHI but a generic. It was $70 i think. Then you can buy the CHI silk from a salon and put in your hair while it's wet. It's $20 but it last forever. Everyone's hair is different. Mine is less frizzy when I use less conditioner because it leaves it drier and easier to straighten. I blow dry mine as straight as possible with a round brush before using the iron. If they can get it straight at a salon then you can do it at home. But if there is a lot of humidity, when you go outside it can still frizz up.

I have frizzy curly hair every time i straighten it comes frizy, can any one tell me wat is needed?

heat protection spray

I have frizzy curly hair every time i straighten it comes frizy, can any one tell me wat is needed?

The MOST important thing, is the hair straightener you are using! You need a very high quality one like GHD or Coriollis which have good quality plates and reach high temperatures, like around 220.

Many people freak out at the temperature and get scared their hair will get damaged, but it wont if you take precautions and don't misuse them.

I recommend a good hydrating shampoo and conditioner. Aveda Damage Remedy is pricey but works like magic but a good cheaper alternative is L'Oreal Elvive Mirror Shine in the pink bottle.

You want to rinse shampoo with hot water and rinse conditioner with cold cold water. Trust me this is the first step towards eliminating frizz.

Next step - styling. You want a serum (John Frieda Frizz Ease is the cult serum but L'Oreal Elvive serum is also lovely), a heat protection spray and if you can get hold of a good one, then a styling cream especially designed to straighten hair.

It's really important to actually blow dry your hair straight before you straighten it with irons as this is the step that eliminates the frizz and breaks out the curl as this is the point at which you remove the water from your hair. If you let your hair naturally dry, then the curls form as the water evaporates and you wont get the frizz and kinks out of it with just irons.

So start by sectioning your hair into top, middle and bottom sections and work serum first and then straightening cream through it. Spray all over with heat protector and from the bottom to the top, blow dry your hair straight with a round barrell brush with a ceramic/metal barrell. Make sure the brush is not a cheapo one as this could break your hair. If you can't find a good quality metal/ceramic one, opt for a natural bristle one. Make sure you have the concentrator nozzle on your dryer and have it on a hot temperture and high speed. Gently pull out the curls with the brush as you direct the heat downwards on the hair.

Next, apply a little more serum to the ends of your hair (carefull not to use too much or you'll get greasy) and working through 2cm sections at a time from the underneath to the top of your hair, straighten with irons. The secret to succes is to use one of those hair brushes that are the same shape as straighteners - you know the ones with bristles that face eachother where you clamp you hair between them? Run this brush from root to tip, with the iron following closely behind so the heat is directly on the part of hair being pulled taught by the brush. Run through once and then twice, leaving the iron on the very ends for a few seconds extra, and then third time only pull the brush through and keep that section of hair pulled taught from the bottom so that as the hair strands cool, they are "setting" in their straightest possible form.

For humid days or nights out, spray a little hairspray over the hair as it's cooling.

Another great tip is to wash and blow dry the night before and then do the straightening the next morning so every bit of moisture has left the hair. This is what will stop your hair frizzing in certain weather conditions

Good Luck and please let me know how it turns out!

I have frizzy curly hair every time i straighten it comes frizy, can any one tell me wat is needed?

invest in a quality hair straightener or get it chemically straightened.. john frieda erase serum is amazing for frizz.

I have frizzy curly hair every time i straighten it comes frizy, can any one tell me wat is needed?

matrix has a line of products called Sleek. they are awesome and you can use the shampoo, conditioner, and the styling products. they are professional grade products and will leave your hair feeling great. also try a chi flat iron those are really great irons. also dont straighten everyday just touch up and straighten every few days so your hair wont get too dried out. good luck!

Curly, Wavy Hair, Make It Pin Straight.?

im a guy, i have moderately curly hair, it poofs out on the sides, and i used to straighten it, but it took me like 2 hours, is there a way to make it so i can straighten it without a flat iron, or just use something to make the straightening process less time consuming?

Curly, Wavy Hair, Make It Pin Straight.?

You can get "straightening shampoos and conditioners" but your best bet is to have it professionally straightened with chemicals. You can use a do it yourself kit that are pretty good. Just be sure to read the directions well and then deep condition your hair as soon as you can.

If it dries your hair out to much get a leave in spray conditioner. I love Dove in the light blue bottle.

xxx

Curly, Wavy Hair, Make It Pin Straight.?

well i have like really long hair and i take an iron that you iron clothes with and a cd case in a sock and use that it works really fast you just have to be careful and go over the spots you missed

Curly, Wavy Hair, Make It Pin Straight.?

Get it cut or chemically straightened

Curly, Wavy Hair, Make It Pin Straight.?

Why dont u leave it curly? embrace ur curls. Just add a little hair gel so your hair wont poof!

Curly, Wavy Hair, Make It Pin Straight.?

Have you tried blow drying it straight? Go buy some Rusk St8 Styling Lotion. Here is what it looks like:http://www.nextag.com/norob/PtitleSeller...

Distribute lotion evenly through hair. Dry and style with a Round brush (that has a METAL OR CERAMIC END TO HOLD HEAT ) and blow dryer to achieve a smoother, straighter appearance.

*Note: When you are blowing the hair make sure you are putting some TENSION on the hair and pulling it straight. This is what gives you the straight sleek look. Also make sure you start drying from the root and work your way to the end.

If you learn to do a good blow out you won't need the flat iron. You will save yourself loads of time.

Remember TENSION!

Curly, Wavy Hair, Make It Pin Straight.?

Yes you can get it chemically straightened and do A touch up about every two months depending on how fast your hair grows. cant get any quicker then that in the morning

Curly, Wavy Hair, Make It Pin Straight.?

beware of professionally straightening your hair..after paying mega $$ and they were just finishing drying my hair when i was told"you'll still have to use the chi iron to get that finished look"....duh!!! why didn't you tell me before all this... i got better results form using a drug store perm as a straightener(not rolling, just combing straight for the required "rolling time" and following the rest of the directions)...really thot i was gonna be something better for my hair ...what a joke...or maybe my hair stylest was the joke...

Curly, Wavy Hair, Make It Pin Straight.?

There are relaxers that you can use to straighten your hair. There are neutralizing shampoos that lock the straightened look once it has processed.

It's a good idea to get a haircut first before using these products because if you buy a kit and slap it on without having a haircut, you may run out of product.

If you find that you hair becomes too straight, remember, the product is permanent until the hair grows out and is cut off.

Do not bleach your hair once you decide to relax it because the extra strong chemicals can make your hair fall out.

For best results, find a salon that processes ethnic hair. You may just need a mild relaxer/texturizer in your hair.

Some fun and funky hairstyles for curly hair ?

Well... I have alittle under the shoulder length curly dark hair. And I'm going to a family gathering thing tomorrow, and everybody will be there. I need a nice hairstyle to do it for my curly hair (and my hair kinda fizzes up so...)! Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance %26lt;33...

Some fun and funky hairstyles for curly hair ?

Try pinning up one side with a cute hair pin like a jeweled flower. Then let the curls go free on the other side. Use John Freida's Frizz Ease Hair Serum to prevent frizz. If you dont have time to the hair pin you could do some flat hair twists on one side. And if you dont like that a cute bun with a few curly ringlets is timeless.

Some fun and funky hairstyles for curly hair ?

Buy some bobby pins and some hair spray.

Pin your hair up around your head but leave some length (2-3 inches from end)for some flowing curls. Spray with hairspray.. very fast elegant looking updo :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/b...

don't laugh, that was a few years ago but done in minutes and only cost a few bucks :)

Some fun and funky hairstyles for curly hair ?

Hey, I have a particular hairstyle that i think looks very elegant. What i do is wash my hair and put some mouse in it, I then half dry it so its not too wet and not too dry. I then put the hair in a pony tail, if you have a fringe you can take it out. then pull the hair a little loose so it does not look slicked back. Then you scrunch the hair up and then tie it back, as if it were a messy bun. And then pull a few strands out and you can then decorate it with a flower or some clips. Hope this helps and that it is easy to follow lol

Long and curly hair?

i want long and slightly curly hair. i have medium length-straight hair. what do i do to get what i want?

Long and curly hair?

A curling iron, a heat protector spray and some leave in conditioner or some moose.

Long and curly hair?

you should get a perm or you can use curly shampoo and crunch it. it will only take about 5 minutes. its really cute!

Long and curly hair?

first grow out your hair

then get a perm or just use curlers

Why is my hair getting less curly?

I have always loved my curly hair, but all of a sudden it has gotten straighter. The only connection I can find is that I used to dye my hair and it would be dry, but very curly. Now my hair is really healthy but it lost the curl. Does anyone know how I can get it back without drying it out again or getting a perm? Or does anyone know why this would be?

Why is my hair getting less curly?

How old are you?

My hair became really thick, poofy, and curly when I was about 10 or 11 and then it calmed down after I finished puberty.

Hair and skin change throughout a person's life.

Why is my hair getting less curly?

im sorry but i don't know what is going on. talk to someone who works at a hair salon.

Why is my hair getting less curly?

Ask your hair dresser or go on line and find a shampoo or something that might help with your problem.

good luck!

Why is my hair getting less curly?

im not sure ...but i dye my hair allot...the more i process my hair the more curls i get...and i nuturally have very straight hair.....(by process i mean ...the more i get my hair damaged and dry.....dying ...blowdrying...sttraightening)

Why is my hair getting less curly?

I read somewhere that about every 7 yrs or so your hair will change a little. Look at other things in your life and see if hormones or percriptions have changed your body chemestry. Also look into what you are actually using as a shampoo, conditioner and styling products. Some of my friends who have had kids no longer have curly hair.

My curly hair also changes with the weather.

Why is my hair getting less curly?

You should stop coloring your hair. And if and whenever you do, replace the dye with rinse because dye can really damage your hair, especially after continuously using it.

Why is my hair getting less curly?

I have curly hair and in the late fall and winter in gets straighter then in the spring and summer it get curly again.......maybe this is happening to you

Why is my hair getting less curly?

the same thing started happening to my hair this summer. I got a hair cut and my hair went back to being curly again... all of the weight of my hair was pulling down and making it straighter. my hair was about 4 inches past my shoulders and now it's 2 inches shorter and more curly.

Why is my hair getting less curly?

hmmm hormones can change the texture of your hair.. are you by any chance pregnant? I've heard of alot of people having different textured hair after being pregnant... if you're not pregnant then are you on some birth control pills? you might want to consider changing the pills you're on... If your not pregnant and you're not taking the pill then i have no idea why you all of a sudden have straighter hair. I hope you find the answer you're looking for and good luck.

Tips for very curly hair?

I have a very mixed background, and my hair is pretty curly. My hair is about a 3B. There's a link to a pic of 3B hair below.

I just wanted to know some tips to keep it frizz-free, and how to tighten and define the curls.

Yeah, I know most would think I'm crazy for wanting tighter curls when my hair is 3B already, but I just like it like that. =]

http://www.naturallycurly.com/images/Hai...

Tips for very curly hair?

Never use HOT water on the hair and scalp. Always wash the hair with warm water followed by a cool rinse.

Be delicate with your curls while washing, conditioning and styling.

After you shampoo your hair:

Tilt your head to all three angles again (side/back/side), pile the ends into the towel and squeeze from ends to roots. Allowing the hair to fall away from the scalp prevents that oh-so-common flat top/wide bottom scenario by lifting and encouraging the wave pattern at the root. Squeeze hard and push against the scalp gently.

DO NOT COMB!! Apply your chosen curly hair product by either scrunching in gently from ends to roots or spraying if that's the case. Tilting works here too and will help ensure that you get the product underneath, especially near the scalp.

Curl Enhancer Styling Lotion - This creamy curl booster eliminates frizz, defines curls and provides light curl control. Ideal for fine hair textures. Go to this website for a complete line to take care and define your curls:

http://curls.redhotproduct.com/

Avoid raking your fingers through the hair so you don't separate the curls. If your hair tends to be flat on the top, lift sections gently and spray the roots underneath those top sections.

Let your hair dry naturally, scrunching occasionally, or diffuse by tilting to all three angles again (even upside down, but carefully), gently piling the ends of the hair into the diffuser and pressing it up against the scalp.

Again, if your hair tends to be flat on top, make sure you're lifting those root sections slightly as you dry, the shape hair dries in is the shape it'll hold until it's washed again. Stop diffusing when the hair is still slightly damp, not visibly though. This will prevent frizzy hair and brittleness from over drying.

The less you disturb the hair during this process, the better your results will be. This technique effectively clumps the strands together, creating a well-defined curl or wave pattern and maximum shine while reducing frizz.

If your curls are very tight or tend to be fuzzy, stay away from brushes altogether!

Tips for very curly hair?

hey im a guy but i got really curly hair too. To keep the frizz down try moistuizing shampoo then use a little bit of conditioner after a shower and leave it in your hair. it usually keeps the hair from not frizzing up

Tips for very curly hair?

Don't brush it :)

Tips for very curly hair?

don't dry it with a towel..use a paper towel instead

Tips for very curly hair?

there are really some good but cheap products on the marke to put on after washing hair and it just takes a small dab in the palm of your hand rub it in and rub it in your hair. it keeps the frizzes down and your hair will work with you instead of you trying to work your hair.

Tips for very curly hair?

You can use gel and other hair products to make your hair more than 3B and to define your curls, usually people use moose to define their curls but mosses usually makey your hair very dry and unhealthy. Go to your local hair dresser and ask for tips, they can help! Good Luck!

Tips for very curly hair?

Don't wash hair every day. This kind of hair needs the natural oils from your scalp to reduce frizz. Try putting on some lavender oil or coconut oil in your hair for styling. This will reduce the frizz, while conditioning your hair and protecting it against sun damage. Its a good idea to deep condition your hair at least once a week a lot of frizz comes from damage to your hair. Wash and condition your hair using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Wavy and curly hair tends to be drier than straight hair. Comb hair in shower while conditioner is still in. Never brush or towel dry hair. Instead, air dry or diffuse.

Applying a leave in conditioner will often help tame your frizz, without weighing it down too much or leaving it feeling greasy. Some suggested leave in conditioners: Aveda Brilliant Damage Control, Bumble and bumble leave in conditioner with frizz control, or Aussie Hair Insurance. A great product for air drying your hair is Aveda Brilliant Pomades- they come with a humectant for letting your hair dry curly. If you're going to blow dry your hair and you want it curly, use a diffuser on the end of your blowdryer. Flip your head over and scruch your hair, but not too much. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then let air dry the last bit. This prevents frizziness. Use a mousse or pomade for this. If you want Spray hair lightly with an anti-frizz spray.

well if you are brushing when it is dry///tisktisk.

haha but.. the shampoo and conditioner you use is great.

just rememeber not to Shampoo everyday.. because thats not good for your hair..

and if you dont like your hair thick, go to a professional and get it thinned...

I think curly hair looks a hell of a lot better long... so if you want new styles just play with your hair.. with clips and stuff

cause you are lucky for having curly hair, you can pull off almost anything in a clip =D yeah

and maybe if you want to change your hair get it dyed... yeah..

How to handle curly, thick hair?

With a razor.

How to handle curly, thick hair?

i think curly hair looks better long. try brushing it more often and straightinh it

How to handle curly, thick hair?

NEVER use a razor. It grows back even thicker!!

I have the same problem - my hair's thick and curly. I use Pantine Pro-V curly shampoo and conditioner. I have medium-styled hair (to my shoulders) but I cut it off if it gets longer because it's painful to brush.

Try using a hair pick. It's easy to pull out of hair when you reach a bad tangle.

I know it's not a long answer, but I hope I've helped you. Good luck!

i'd say to use herbal essences or tressemme it smells really good and it should help you. and you should also bring a brush in the shower with you! make sure you brush your hair out very well so when you get out you won't have that many knots.

How to handle curly, thick hair?

I have thick long curly hair too!!

Here's what I do.

Everynight after I take a shower, I braid my hair. This prevents it from getting tangly during the night. But first I put some hair gel in it because the braid can kill the curls. You can also try taking a shower in the morning and letting your hair curl up naturally.

Tresseme conditioner works really well for me!

For hairstyles, I have bangs which I usually straighten dead straight or I sorta curl it at the bottom so it's really bouncy looking. When I'm not in the mood to do my hair, I take this huge hair clip that's big enough for my hair, and clip up my hair in that. I also leave it down often.

and for your last question, I personally prefer longer hair, but short and longer hair both have their pros and cons!!!

I hope this helps!!

How to handle curly, thick hair?

if you like the way your hair is, try hot oil, should smooth it out. matrix sleek look shampoo and conditioner would work, its a little pricey but it comes in huge bottles. its worth it! :]

How to handle curly, thick hair?

I prefer curly hair when it's long. I have short curly hair and have the same problem. Use detangler shampoos and conditioner like Dove, which is so gentle and leaves your hair really soft and manageable. Sunsilk also works for me (You can try their shampoos and conditioners for poofy, kinky or frizzy - whichever might more apply to you. Don't forget their hair lotions for everyday use.

How to handle curly, thick hair?

straightening would be the best option. To avoid damaging your hair use heat protector serum before using the straighteners, that should help protect your hair. Ceramic straighteners are also healthier for your hair.

i think curly hair looks better when its longer, because there is a natural bounce to it.

How to handle curly, thick hair?

i'm a hairstylist living in hong kong (i'm from uk), usually when it comes to curly hair, it really depends on how curly and how thick when choosing length, very thick and very curly usually gets too BIG if its short (bob length) and very fine loose curls gets very flat and "lank" when it's too long, i suggest sitting down with a decent stylistand having a thourough consultation (a good stylist wont charge for a consultation, providing u call in advance expaining u want some advice), stay away from commercial products u get in a superstore, a salon will be able to advise u on which product is right for ur hair. to remove the tangles i suggest combing the conditioner through in the shower, carefully with a large tooth comb, like a rake comb or an afro comb. to find a reputable stylist, try going to ur country's expat website, every country should have one and put up a post asking for a recomendation, u'll see the same names keep coming up, thats usually a good guide. hope this helps... good luck.

How to handle curly, thick hair?

Get a really nice defuser. This helps make the hair a controllable curly. I think curly hair looks better atleast shoulder length. But that is just my own personal opinion... but I would deffinetally try a defuser. They work wonders. I promise.

How to handle curly, thick hair?

I'm right there with you! I also have thick curly hair that can be hard to manage.

First of all, go out and buy a comb with thick, spaced out prongs and use it during your shower. Brushes and combs with the eensy weensy little prongs separate curls into little sections that can make you look like little orphan annie. Make sure you use it IN the shower or right after it. dont use it when hair is dry or it will give you even more frizz. Don't towel dry hair, the rubbing will also break up your curls.

When your hair is damp, take a small amount of mousse and rub it between your hands, so you dont get a huge clump of mousse in one area. Take the mousse and lightly scrunch hair towards your scalp -%26gt; thatta way. Dont scruch up, you wont get coverage for most of your hair that way. This should help relax your curls so they aren't so cork-skrewy!

Next, go out and buy some Garnier Fructis soft curl cream. Because even though you made your hair more relaxed by using the mousse, you still need your curls to stay DOWN! instead of springing out all over the place. With the cream, take a small amount (its very thick) and rub in between your fingers, not your palms. Then, take your fingers and run them down over the curl (It should go straight for a second) then go back and wrap it around your finger, a pencil, a curling iron (not when its on though!) etc. to get the shape that you want. You can do this to any curl on your prettily shaped head. :)

Thats one style ive come it love and it gets easier every day i Do it! (Of course, i sometimes get lazy and deal with my little orphan annie curls) But if you want a style for your tight corkskrew curls, i found that growing it out a bit, leaving the bangs and some long strands towards the front down, while putting all the rest in a giant clip in the back looks pretty.

You say you want a nice shampoo or conditioner? Well, I haven't found a perfect one yet but you should look out for this:

Since curly hair is naturally dry and unmanageable, its best for you to NOT take a shower every day. Washing your hair that much will keep washing all of the natural oils from your hair and make it more frizzy and dry. So, in a shamppo and conditioner, youd want to look out for extra moisturizing products with oils and vitamins etc. It'll help A LOT!

As for hairstyles, you might want to find a hairstylist that majored in the care of curly hair. Not every stylist knows how to manage our little problems, but they'll guess and mess up if you don't instruct.

You might want to start growing your hair out asap. Nothing looks prettier than a girl with long natural waves, not too long though. We dont want to be cousin it with a bad perm! :) If you cut your hair short, itll bounce right back up and shrivel into this mini-afro.

my suggestion? make your hair longer, about 2.5 inches past your shoulder, then get lots of random layers. It'll help stop the mass of hair from piling on top of one another since the weight of the hair will make your top straighter and your bottom curlier. Its a way to even out the masses. But also make sure to request long layers, we don't want crisp cuts anywhere, it'll make your hair look too choppy and crisp. Curly hair is about going with the flow.

^^ that should be a nice look for you

if you get it shorter, it would look thicker.

just tie your hair back and if you want to let your hair down then use TRESemme non frizz european hairspray

Jews with curly hair?

actually most of my friends are curly...

and my friends friends...

Jews with curly hair?

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... no

layers are your best friend.

I have curly/wavy hair. I make sure to get it cut in long layers so it will fall naturally around your face. Try not to go to short, because depending on your face shape, it could make you look chubby.'

Favorite hair products for curly hair?

I have tried so many hair products for my thick, curly hair. None of them ever work for me. Can you recommend me some products? And add a short little review on it. I mostly want mousses and sprays. Thanks %26lt;3

Favorite hair products for curly hair?

BIG SEXY HAIR CURL ACTIVATOR! AMAZING!!! I use it on all my curly clients. i was skeptical at first but when i tried it on a wavy haired client it caused her waves to tighten up into this rockin texture. its not hard or chrunchy, its a mousse spray, you just spray it all over damp hair and its kinda foamy, then comb it through and do a quick scrunch and let it air dry. wicked curls... you can use a diffuser to accellerate the drying, but usually i just let these ladies go with slightly damp hair and it turns out fabulous.

Favorite hair products for curly hair?

Gardenie Frustis, gel spray or what not, GREAT PRODUCT

i use nivea protein shampoo and conditioner (miracle workers) and sunsilk leave-in for curls...oh yeah and dont use hair dryers...it will only make ur hair look even bigger :)

Favorite hair products for curly hair?

ok i use this mousse called syrum. It has a green cap and its clear. It feels really thick on your hands but it works. It always pushes down my frizz and it just works!!!

Favorite hair products for curly hair?

I have the same type of hair you have, thick and curly. Lately I have been using Garnier Fructis, it is a leave in conditioner. It leaves my hair shiny, it defines my curls, and gets rid of the frizz. It was about 4 bucks, so not too expensive. You can find it at any drug store, or wherever Garnier Fructis products are sold. It's my favorite.

I hope that helped.

Curly hair, what do I do?

So I recently decided it was a good idea to get my hair permed... and well, to say the least, I didn't think it would be THIS curly. I'm really not so sure what to do with it, it seems to just be really HUGE looking and not at all what I was hoping.

Any advice?

Curly hair, what do I do?

well, im not too familiar with hair perms but i know a few things you can do with your hair :D

1) you can but it up in a messy bun with your front hair pinned back (or your bangs if u have any) and poof them up a little bit. It looks really simple yet elegent at the same time!

2) Try it half up but dont pin the top half too tight because it will make the bottom half look bigger than it really is.

3) Right after you take a shower, you can try to scrunch your hair by putting hair gel or mousse ( i use panteen mousse) after you comb it through. Make sure your hair is still wet or else it wont work. (this might not work, it depends on your hair type.

okay, i hope i helped you out!! and good luck :D

Curly hair, what do I do?

Go back to the salon taht did your hair (they know your hair best, and know what they did with it) and ask for products/ maintaining advice. you can ask anyone, but the hairdresser knows what he/she did, and how to fix/maintain it!

good luck :)

Curly hair, what do I do?

Honestly, you can't do anything. Not if you just got your hair permed. There's too many chemicals in your hair. Wait a few months before attempting to do anything.

But, in the mean time, theres a lot a you can with really curly hair! Play with it a little.

For some more advice, just pm me.

Curly hair, what do I do?

i had straight hair b4 but i also got a purm if u have side bangs let them hanging then let the back with curls like scruched but make sure ur hair that is slide back make sure no bumps , u can scrunch , 2 ponytails , half up half down make sure u always have hair soray or gel or eles ur hair is gonig to be like a frizz ball

Curly hair, what do I do?

I like to apply Versastyle by Nexxus. It's a styling lotion that I apply to wet hair and then blow dry my hair with my head down and my hair hangin toward the floor. I only dry it until it is slightly dry, then I let my hair dry naturally. It provides just the right lift to my hair without puffing out.

Curly hair, what do I do?

well, i did that 2 years ago 2, i wanted to keep it curly just not so big, so i would sugesst ussing 'catwalk curl amplifying cream' it will bring down the big and that is all i could use in my hair

Curly hair, what do I do?

Use Anti- Frizz serum by Garnier FRUCTIS, It works for me it's awesome. =)

Curly hair. want a new cut. shoulder lenth?

i have curly/wavy hair, and i've had the same cut forever..i want to freshen it up, it's shoulder lenght..should i let it grow??

Curly hair. want a new cut. shoulder lenth?

If your hair is a little below your shoulders, it curls up really nicely and its not a big poof or whatever.

As for a cut, I suggest not getting anything shorter than your shoulders unless you're going to straighten it, because it'll be a huge poof!

If you decide to grow your hair out, get long layers. And I'm not sure how long, but if its too long, it won't curl as well. Mine usually doesn't get longer than my bra strap (or if it does, maybe half an inch longer), and it still curls fairly well.

Hope this helps!

Curly hair question!!!!?

when my hair is wet its nice and pretty and flat. i tried putting mouse and cream and gel and oil in it but no matter what happens, as soon as it dries it riases kinda like a curly afro.

WHAT CAN I DO????? besides straightning and wearing an afro.

Curly hair question!!!!?

Use a good conditioner every time you shampoo your hair. Natural curly hair is drier than straight hair and therefore, needs more moisture to control the frizz. Also, it best to keep your hair trimmed every 6 weeks to get rid of broken ends (which also makes hair look frizzy).

Curly hair question!!!!?

When you use your hair dryer, use a brush to keep down each strand as you dry it

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair? I have between wavy and curly hair, and it is very frizzy, I like wearing it straight but I'm having trouble finding a straightener that works well on my hair. I'm willing to spend more money on a straightener but I want to know that it works well. Please let me know where its from and the price please!

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

I have problems with frizziness too. This is my hair regimen to get rid of it! (If you look at my avatar閳?you閳ユ獟l see that it really does work!!). Good luck! =)

1. Choose a shampoo or conditioner by looking for the words smoothing, moisturizing or hydrating on the front of the bottle (I use Pantene Pro-V for dry and damaged hair).

2. After washing, towel dry and apply a smoothing or frizz serum (I like John Frieda閳ユ獨 Frizz Ease閳ヮ泴ound at most drug stores).

3. Let hair hang dry until it is almost fully dry. When almost dry, finish drying with a blow dryer while using a round boar-bristle brush (work with small areas at a time 閳?do not let your hair blow all over the place, otherwise it will just become more unruly).

4. Make sure your hair is completely dry. If there is anymore moisture left it will become frizzy.

5. By using a 1-1/2 inch (or larger) curling iron or a flat iron, you can smooth out any left over frizz.

6. You can also apply a hair wax (like Bumble and Bumble Styling Wax) or pomade (like Got2B Defiant Define Plus Shine Pomade) now.

7. Finish off by using a flexible hair spray (like Finesse閳ユ獨 Touchable hair spray).

* Get your ends trimmed up at least every 6 weeks.

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

Girl, It seems as though people with wavy curly hair want straight hair all the time. And vice versa. Keep your hair healthy, without straightining it! Because its gonna get curly and wavy again once you wash your hair.. and then you have to straighten more often. DONT get the wet 2 straight straightner though! You could burn your hair.

Try Walgreens

Wal Mart

Target

And ask your hair stylist where you can get one with good quality.

Stay cute, Be positive

it's a Revlon gold plated straightener and it works really good and it only costs 17 to 18 dollars and it is at Wal-Mart! Hope it works.

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

I cant tell you how many times i have referred girls to the CHI straightening iron. IT IS THE BEST!! i have probably the most frizzy, curly hair ever. The flat iron is pricey, but it makes your hair like silk, and it lasts forever. Just get out of the shower, blow dry your hair w/ a comb attachment, and section your hair, then flat iron it. Your hair will be lookin good!

Good luck.

I wanna help you so if you have any more questions email me: siezzles88@yahoo.com

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

a chi straightener, their products work well also but Ive had luck with the matrix line, try matrix straight/sleek look

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

I have wavy frizzy hair, the only one that helps me is the chi ceramic hair straightener works fast and perfect costs about $130.00 you can get it at j c penney or a well known salon you'll love it.

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

Frizz ease products work well for me. You can fin them at Walmart. I use the spray after I get out of the shower and then I put the serum on after that.

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

I fought my naturally curly hair for almost 30 years! Here's my routine:

1) Don't wash your hair every day. It makes the fuzz worse, and coarse hair doesn't have to be washed daily.

2) Use a cream conditioner formulated for straightening/defrizzin g hair.

3) Use an anti-frizz serum, just a bit. I LOVE Frizz-Eaz. Their new line smells great!

4) The best straightening product I've found yet is RUSK's Str8 lotion. I think it cost about $14. I was able to get it at CVS.

5) Blow dry with an ionic blow dryer. You would NOT believe the difference!! The ionics help combat frizz. Also, use a round ionic hairbrush. Let hair dry naturally for as long as possible--it helps "set" the cuticle to prevent frizz.

With this routine, I never have to resort to a straightening iron. If you do, though, get a ceramic one--they're gentler on your hair.

Good luck!

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

The Chi. Google it and you should find online stores from which to buy it. Also try Ebay. I bought it at a salon for $120, but it was well worth it. I have a huge mass of frizzy/curly hair and it works wonders.

Make sure you spray some sort of hair protectant product on your hair prior to straightening, or you will end up with a ton of breakage and damage. You can ask your hair stylist for recommendations for your hair type.

Hope this helps! I definitely feel your pain!

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

Go to a local Sally's Beauty Supply store they have all kinds of flat-irons that have how hot they actually get. I use Gold'N'Hot flat-irons they work really good. Or you can just go to the website and look first online. When you search up the website make sure you type the whole store's name, not just Sally's.

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

I feel ya pain sister... i have the same sort of hair!

Definately get a GHD hair straightener, they are about $170-200 aust ,

Do a search in Yahoo for GHD Hair Straightener and theres loads of places to get em, including eBay. This is the only hair iron that works properly in my hair!

Good Luck Hun : )

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

I have massively curly frizzy hair, and the best straightener for me is the Chi. Before straightening it, blow dry your hair with an ionic hair dryer using a large, round brush (with the boar bristles), to get out all water -- moisture = frizz. Be sure to use styling products when blow drying and straightening your hair, to protect your hair as well as get the best results. Bath %26amp; Body works actually has a lot of good products. After you straighten your hair, spray it with a hair spray that blocks humidity (it will say on the bottle if it does or not). Hope this helps!

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

Chi straighteners are used in salons and come with a warranty in most cases. I have the same hair-type and it works amazingly well. Most you have to run through your hair 2-3 times to straighten it, but the chi's straighten perfectly with only one pass. They're about 100 dollars, and you can get them at beauty supply stores or online.

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

Well if you are willing to spend money on a straightener like a hot iron then the best brand is chi you can find it at ulta, trade secret, and probably target. they cost from $120-$200 dollars you plug it in and it gets hot and then take a clump of hair and run through it sorry if that doesn't make sense but its hard to explain how to use one I hope this helped

Can anyone recommend a hair straightener for wavy/curly and very frizzy hair?

if your problem is friz then use a shine spray or a friz control spray and then straighten.. that works well

If your hair is naturally curly I would not suggest perming it, because you could damage your hair more; instead use products designed for curly hair, and just scrunch your hair. If you are still not satisified then here...

The best suggestion that I can give you is to find a picture of the type of curls that you want, and to show that to your stylist before she/he begins your perm. Tell them exactly what you want. They will know what kind of perm to give you based on your picture.

A warning though: depending on your thickness and length, your hair will relax a little. So if your hair turns out curlier than you expected, it will relax and become looser. Also perms really damage and dry out hair, so be prepared to give your hair a lot of maintence and TLC. Make sure you really think about doing this to your hair, because it can take up to a year before it will go away (so if you don't like it, you really can't change it).

Hope you get the look you're searching for!

My Hair is Naturally Wavy/Curly. HELP?

If its naturally curly, you don't need a perm hun, just the right products and routine.

First off, if your hair is thick, and most curly hair is, only wash it ever second day (I know, that sounds gross), but your hair needs the natural oils it produces and washing them out everyday is going to make it frizzy.

Secondly, buy some product, look for something that doesn;t feel sticky on your skin, it should feel watery. I suggest Panene Pro V curl scrunching gel. Throw out your hair dryer and use a diffuser, or just towel dry.

When its still damp (but not dripping with water), but in some of the non-sticky gel I recommended. Now wait until it is fully dry, and if it still looks frizzy, scrunch with either a gel or mousse that is sticky, and will give your curls some hold.

It took me all of highschool to get this down pat, but it makes my naturally curly/wavy hair look perfect. Good luck!

Curly hair care??

I've got long-ish naturally curly hair which is always at least a little bit frizzy. even on good days!! I currently use biosilk silk therepy, but it doesn't do what i would like. i want the really pretty ringlets with no frizz! i already have the ringlets i just need to loose the frizz somehow.... any sugestions?

Curly hair care??

Try Garnier Fructis shampoo and John Frieda Frizz Ease conditioner and any other Frizz Ease products. I straighten my hair usualy!

Curly hair care??

try the cat walk products you can get them at a salon, they are made for just curly hair..the biosilk is good too. dry hair naturally if possible to keep it from frizzing as much

Curly hair care??

Garnier Fructise!!! They work really good on perms and colored hair

Curly hair care??

use a hair straightener!

Curly hair care??

Get u some aloe vera gel and get rid of the frizzzzzzz

Curly hair care??

use a diffuser

Curly hair care??

Products with a little silicone in them help keep the frizz down (Redken Glass is a good one). Use a good moisturizing shampoo and let your hair dry naturally, or use a diffuser. Once your hair is dry, don't brush or run your hands through it.

Curly hair care??

Biosilk has too much alcohol, and shine drop products are kinda light for what you are wanting. Try Regis Duel Action Gel Mousse. Its not a typical mousse that gives you the wet look. Put in lots and rake your hair with wide fingers, scrunch with a towel, then diffuse gently (don't fluff or tousle). Once its dry, scrunch to soften. It won't fizz and it won't look wet. You'll have large, clumpy ringlets. That is exactly what it does to my hair. Best stuff ever.

Favorite hair products for curly hair?

ok i use this mousse called syrum.

After flat ironing curly hair, what can i put to have a nice glossy finish that also tames frizz...?

i have very very curly hair, and after i straighten it, it looks dry and puffy, and have fly-aways. what can i apply on my hair to give it that shine and glossy look, for example...

http://beauty.about.com/od/blackhairstyl...

http://www.tvguide.com/images/pgimg/game...

http://z.about.com/d/beauty/1/0/K/G/hall...

i want to put my hair in a pony tail, but because my hair is already short, i get fly-aways, and i need something that keeps that away.

After flat ironing curly hair, what can i put to have a nice glossy finish that also tames frizz...?

I have the same problem with my hair. My straigtened hair always looks puffy and gets some frizz. I use this product called Ion Anti-Frizz Solutions Lusterizing Cream. It comes in a white bottle with a pink cap. You just need a tiny bit that you rub on your palms and then smooth your hands over your hair. It gives it extra shine and smoothness and keeps the frizz away. I got it from a beaty supply store called Sally's for about $7. You could probably get it from any beauty supply store, but you could also check a regular department store for a product just like it. Good luck! =)

After flat ironing curly hair, what can i put to have a nice glossy finish that also tames frizz...?

Garnier fructis sleek %26amp; shine leave-in conditioning cream. works GREAT. about $3 anyplace

After flat ironing curly hair, what can i put to have a nice glossy finish that also tames frizz...?

A goopy stuff called Silk Therapy by Biosilk works very well. It's a type of leave-in conditioner that smells really good and eliminates frizz. They are sold a lot at hair salons. Good luck! =]

After flat ironing curly hair, what can i put to have a nice glossy finish that also tames frizz...?

well after i flat iron i put some Ganeir or how ever u spell it leave it cream for dry, frizzy, unmanageable hair (not that my hairs lk that lol) just a little and rub it in your hands b4 u out it in your hair u dont want it 2 make ur hair greasy. after that i finish w/ herbal essence dangerously straight hairspray, this makes ur hair soft and shiny and the creme prevents puffiness and dryness, oh and another great spray is the flat iron finishing spray from herbal essence

good luck :)

After flat ironing curly hair, what can i put to have a nice glossy finish that also tames frizz...?

Either put jam on your hair you can find it at walmart or put Ginseng miracle wonder 8 oil on your hair also at walmart Good Luck!
