Will chemically relaxing my curly hair work?

I'm caucasian with naturally curly dark brown hair and I want to change my look completely by going straight. I want to chemically relax it but I heard that because my hair is so curly, one session wont make it completely straight. My hair looks like this: http://www.naturallycurly.com/images/cel... and is thin.

Also, how much does it generally cost?

Yes yes yes. I am positive. If thats how curly your hair is, It's not even that curly compared to some people!! African American women, with the most course, curly hair get their hair straight with one session so there is no doubt that you wont. I'd say about $60 dollars, but it depends on where you get it done.

your hair will get str8 in one session.... just be careful on who is doing it.... but yes it can happen.

Why do you want to relax your curls? You should be happy you have them. Lots of girls already have their hair poker straight and are being like sheep. Alot of them over use their straightners as well lol. I used to want my hair to be straight, but now I've decided to let it be curly. Curly hair looks much more natural and lively, while straight hair can look a bit flat.

Uum...I assume you aren't going to get a relaxer b/c it is intended for ethnic hair and may destroy yours!...also if you are talking about that chinese straightening method I have never experienced it but every time I hear monetary figures surrounding it...it is costly...that process isn't cheap...your hair can be blow dried and flat ironed to achieve a straight look...why put chemicals on it?...
