im a guy, i have moderately curly hair, it poofs out on the sides, and i used to straighten it, but it took me like 2 hours, is there a way to make it so i can straighten it without a flat iron, or just use something to make the straightening process less time consuming?

You can get "straightening shampoos and conditioners" but your best bet is to have it professionally straightened with chemicals. You can use a do it yourself kit that are pretty good. Just be sure to read the directions well and then deep condition your hair as soon as you can.

If it dries your hair out to much get a leave in spray conditioner. I love Dove in the light blue bottle.

well i have like really long hair and i take an iron that you iron clothes with and a cd case in a sock and use that it works really fast you just have to be careful and go over the spots you missed

Distribute lotion evenly through hair. Dry and style with a Round brush (that has a METAL OR CERAMIC END TO HOLD HEAT ) and blow dryer to achieve a smoother, straighter appearance.

*Note: When you are blowing the hair make sure you are putting some TENSION on the hair and pulling it straight. This is what gives you the straight sleek look. Also make sure you start drying from the root and work your way to the end.

If you learn to do a good blow out you won't need the flat iron. You will save yourself loads of time.

Yes you can get it chemically straightened and do A touch up about every two months depending on how fast your hair grows. cant get any quicker then that in the morning

beware of professionally straightening your hair..after paying mega $$ and they were just finishing drying my hair when i was told"you'll still have to use the chi iron to get that finished look"....duh!!! why didn't you tell me before all this... i got better results form using a drug store perm as a straightener(not rolling, just combing straight for the required "rolling time" and following the rest of the directions)...really thot i was gonna be something better for my hair ...what a joke...or maybe my hair stylest was the joke...
