Deep condition your hair once or twice a week. If you don't want to buy deep conditioner, you can just leave your regular conditioner in for 15 minutes and then rinse it out. Also, use a straightening balm when your hair is wet, and an anti frizz serum when you are done straightening it.

I have curly hair too..But I can never really straighten it because it's so thick and takes forever...

But if you're best bet would probably be to play with the curly other than going against it. I use moose for curly hair and put it in right when i get out of the shower..Don't' dry your hair with a towel..and also if you straighten it put in moisturizer!!

Try Herbal Essence Dangerously Straight shampoo and conditioner. It is available at most stores, is inexpensive, and leaves your hair looking great. Also use a spray-on, leave-in conditioner. Both will cut frizzies. Try a bit of glossifier...spray it on the palms of your hands and smooth them over your hair.

Sunsilk leave in spray conditioner. It used to be Thermasilk. Anyway, I love this stuff! When my hair is really dry, I spray it on right from the shower before wrapping my hair in a towel. And your hair doesn't have to be wet to use it.

Also, when you use conditioner, leave it in for 5 minutes before rinsing. That makes a big difference.

Neutrogena makes a great conditioner called Triple Moisture. Its thick and very rich but rinses out clean.

Hope this helps.
