I have tightly curled hair and I would like to wear it down (I currently wear it in a ponytail or bun). But I need something to tame my curls because the humidity makes it "puff" up and it starts to look like a 'fro. Products for curly hair seem to just make matters worse, so I was thinking about trying a straightening product to help elongate my curls (I don't want them to disappear, just loosen up). However, all the straightening products I see say you have to use a blow dryer and/or flat iron. I was just hoping I could use them on my natural hair to make it less curly without having to blow dry/flat iron. Has anyone ever tried a straightening product on curly hair with good results? Also, I am TOTALLY AGAINST any kind of chemicals that straighten hair, so please DON'T suggest I get a relaxer or texturizer. Thanks!

I use to have hair like that i use this flat iron from walmart call andis (15 dollars) trust me it works because i couldn't find any thing at first. It lasts for weeks. you have to wrap your hair at night a wear a scarf. oh and us pressing oil. It's like grease it helps straighten it. The oil doesn't damage your hair.
