heyy i have long curly hair. since my hair is so long, my hair is kinda straight on top, and i can get a straightener. but are dramatic side swept bangs a good idea? it takes me 2 HOURS to straighten my super thik curly hair. i would just only straighten my bangs...yay or nay?? please help

If you want bangs, then (not just me but a professianal beauty salon dude on t.v. said...)sure go for it!! but, dont have bangs if you're going to have them with curly hair, sure, culry all around and straight bangs look really hot, so straighten your bangs with a straightner and u can leave the rest, good luck, (or straighten all your hair too if u like with bangs). k hope i helped, bye.

I don't think so, it would take to much time. It looks weird to have really curly hair and then there's straight bangs on the front. I say just keep your hair at a easy to maintain length, not bangs.

I have curly hair as well and do layers and not bangs (bangs being above the nose). If your hair is really thick I'd consult your stylist about doing long layers to thin it out. It also brings lift to the top. You may or may not be able to pull of a single targeted area of layers (long swept bangs) without layering anything else. It may look silly.

But if it is taking you 2 hours to do your hair i'd say it's time to take some off! I assume you don't wash it every day being that curly hair is dryer.

yeah sounds like my hair. i hated my hair all being one length. get the side bangs (i did mine myself) i'm sure you'll like it. but you have to be prepared to always have your bangs straightened. even when i have my hair natural i straighten my bangs and get compliments all the time. so get the bangs and i would get layers too. both make a dramatic difference (for the better). i love the way my hair looks now. good luck.

I think you should go for it. Side swept bangs look good on anyone((i think)). Just try it out, and if you don't like it, you can just let them grow out. I have very wavy hair, and i just got side swept bangs and I'm really happy with them.

I did the same thing!! It looked amazing on me, but you are going to want to straighten it, the only downside is that u have to shower at least once a day because they get oiley fast. Go for it

only if you invest in a chi straightener, otherwise you will be stuck wasting hours straightening your hair all the itme!
