Would dying curly hair like this look weird?

I'm wanting to dye my hair, and I was considering dying it something like this....

Not cut like that or anything, just the way it's dyed, with a layer of black under a layer of blond... My hair's curly and pretty frizzy, so I'm not sure what it would look like. =\ Also, I might dye it all blond and just dye the tips black, or some other dark color, instead... Can anyone find any pictures of curly hair dyed either of those ways, or tell me how you think each way would look? Thanks. =D

I have VERY curly hair too.. I dye my hair all the time... ALL THE TIME%26gt;............ I have it blonde and black right now and people tell me the like it a lot and I should leave it like this... GO FOR IT..... Its only hair.. you can always re dye it........ My hair is frizzy too... but I bought a Chi hair straightner and use "hair syrum" and it straightens real real real real well... I have had my hair red and blonde, blonde, black and blonde, and brown and blonde. I have always liked the outcome... with our kind of curly hair it looks cool to have different colors... do it.. do it... do it.... GOOD LUCK.. .let us know how it turns out..

you could do it, but it would look like you have mold on your head ;). Try straightening your hair first, or even finding different designs for the white on black

get a good straightner.. it'll loook better.. or get like a shampoo that controls frizz.. and makes your hair sleek.. might look alrightt..

I am a hairstylist at Hair Quest Etc. and Aveda salon in Carmel, IN. I did want to let you know that if your hair is very curly and has a certain level of frizz to it coloring your hair the platinum blonde in that picture would be very damaging. Also with your hair being curly that kind of color definition might not have the effect you desire. The only way to be able to be able to achieve that look would be to resign yourself to straightening your hair everyday which i again would not suggest due to the consition of your hair as you've described. If you really want a dramatic change I would consider going with someother accent color than platinum blonde. You could consider doing a rich auburn with a natural blonde highlight all over.
